The Carr Center Dylan's Story

Dylan's Story

Dylan entered the program on April 3, 2019 at 2.4 years of age as a referral from Dr. Kevin Miller due to reduced verbal output. When he arrived, he demonstrated a receptive and expressive impairment and weekly treatment was initiated. A home program was established with consistent carryover by parents demonstrated.

He currently demonstrates age appropriate language abilities and a speech sound deficit. He is communicating in short sentences but can be difficult to understand to the unfamiliar listener. The treatment continues to improve Dylan’s skills and quality of life. We are happy to report Dylan’s Brigance scores have vastly improved, upon admission to the program 48.5, current score 90.5, with a demonstrated 86.7% increase in physical and language development, as well as academic skills since entrance into the program.
