We provide Adult Day Care to individuals who may require some supervision during daytime hours. Individuals with Alzheimer's, Parkinson's and other physical or cognitive limitations receive a quality activity and social program.
Medical monitoring and support are provided by a registered nurse and trained staff. Referrals to this program are made through a variety of sources including Area Agency on Aging, physicians, social service staff and individuals services.
The Carr Center offering Education Series
The Carr Center and Area Agency on Aging Region 9 will present the Powerful Tools for Caregivers educational series from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesdays from July 18 to August 22 at the Carr Center, 1035 Beverly Ave.
The program helps family caregivers reduce stress, improve self-confidence, communicate feelings better, balance their lives, increase their ability to make tough decisions and locate helpful resources. Participants will Receive "The Caregiver Handbook".
